Akreditace
Akreditace specifikuje kompetenci laboratoře k provádění specifických testů a je udělena vždy na konkrétní lokalitu. Dobrovolné orgány akreditují laboratoře podle jejich konkrétních a lokálních pravidel. Každý akreditační orgán aplikuje takové standardy, aby byly mezinárodně shodné a použitelné kdekoliv při zachování shodných podmínek.

Certification/registration is when a third party gives written assurance that a product, service, system, process or material conforms to specific requirements.
